Andreas and Florian Bovensiepen lead the family business their father Burkard Bovensiepen founded in 1965 in Kaufbeuren with conviction into a new era. On 1 January 2026, a new chapter began: The group focuses its activities on five independent divisions – Bovensiepen Automobile for Fine Driving, engineering services, the trade in Certified Cars, BMW Service offerings, and ALPINA Wine. The foundation Burkard Bovensiepen laid has been carried forward by his sons for nearly 25 years with the same conviction – and since 2026 under the family name Bovensiepen.
Headquartered in Buchloe in the heart of Bavaria, the group is deeply rooted in its home region. The signet "Born and made in Buchloe" stands for the highest craftsmanship, technical expertise and distinctive character – developed and built in Bavaria, recognized worldwide.
The family leadership structure ensures independence, reliability and the ability to act long-term and value-oriented in a changing environment.

Grown over generations
Founding in Kaufbeuren
Burkard Bovensiepen founds his family business in Kaufbeuren – laying the foundation of a manufacturing tradition that endures to this day.
Generational change in management
Andreas and Florian Bovensiepen take on responsibilities in the management of the automotive division. From then on, Burkard Bovensiepen devotes himself entirely to the ALPINA wine business – the second chapter of his life's work.
Bovensiepen Engineering
The independent engineering division has been a sought-after development partner of the automotive industry for many years. In close cooperation with the BMW Group (MINI, BMW, Rolls-Royce), numerous projects in chassis, steering, drivetrain and driver assistance are successfully implemented to this day.
New development center
Commissioning of the modern development building in Buchloe. Engineers and test mechanics move closer together – both spatially and in terms of content – making more than 20 simultaneously active projects the norm.
Bovensiepen Zagato – world premiere
Unveiling of the Bovensiepen Zagato at Fuori Concorso on Lake Como: the first automobile under the independent brand name Bovensiepen. Bavarian engineering excellence meets distinctive Italian design by Zagato from Milan – handcrafted in the Buchloe manufacture.

The Bovensiepen Group enters a new chapter as an independent corporate group. With five focused divisions – Bovensiepen Fine Driving, Engineering, Certified Cars, authorized BMW Service and ALPINA Wine – the family business is consistently positioning itself for the future. What Burkard Bovensiepen began in 1965, Andreas and Florian Bovensiepen continue with conviction: independent, value-oriented and with the distinctive commitment that has shaped Buchloe for generations.

Bovensiepen Automobile
The Bovensiepen automotive brand stands for handcrafted automobiles of the highest class – first and foremost the Bovensiepen Zagato, a Gran Turismo that combines Bavarian engineering with distinctive Italian design. With more than 250 hours of work per vehicle and over 400 precision parts, each car is built as a unique piece at the Buchloe manufacture. For enthusiasts who want to bring their personal vision to life.
Bovensiepen Engineering
Since 2011, Bovensiepen Engineering has been a sought-after development partner of the automotive industry. Specialized in vehicle dynamics, powertrain, complete vehicle development and driver assistance systems, the engineers work in close cooperation with leading OEMs. More than 20 active projects are currently being validated and developed further on dedicated test rigs in the modern development center in Buchloe.
BMW Service
Bovensiepen Service stands for uncompromising workshop quality for demanding vehicles from BMW, BMW M, ALPINA and other exclusive models. The cars are looked after and maintained by an experienced technical team with the utmost expertise – with the aim of doing justice to the character of every individual vehicle in every respect.
Certified Cars
A select offering of carefully inspected vehicles from BMW, BMW M and ALPINA. We offer our customers first-class certified automobiles for purchase.
ALPINA Wine
Founded in 1979 by Burkard Bovensiepen, ALPINA Wine is today one of the most renowned wine importers in the German-speaking world. The curated portfolio includes top wines such as Sassicaia from Tenuta San Guido as well as rarities from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Tuscany and the New World.
